HES2S Surface-Mount Concealed Hinge

Sugatsune has redefined door hardware with its innovative HES2S Surface-Mount Concealed Hinge—the first hinge on the market to eliminate the need for milling or mortising the door frame during installation. This revolutionary design earned two prestigious awards in 2023: the IF Design Award and the Interzum Award for High Product Quality, endorsing Sugatsune’s dedication to innovation and quality.

By removing the need to mill the frame, the hinge reduces installation time and labour costs. Installers can bring the door pre-fitted with the hinge to the site and screw it directly onto the frame side, making the process faster and more efficient.

The HES2S is also completely concealed when the door is closed, thanks to its unique mechanism that folds the hinge arm into a socket inside the door. The result is a clean, seamless finish that enhances modern interior designs.

Building on the success of the award-winning HES2S-140-A125, Sugatsune has introduced the HES2S-150-A110, offering enhanced flexibility and additional features:

Supports Thinner Doors: while the current model required a cutout width of 30mm, the new model only requires 27mm, making it ideal for thinner doors.
Non-Handed Design: For doors 35–36 mm thick, the hinge can be installed in the centre of the door, making routing even easier regardless of whether the door is right-handed or left-handed.
New increased horizontal adjustment: The new model offers a new side adjustment mechanism similar to that of the HES3D series, allowing for ±2 mm horizontal adjustments.
