About Marjanne Cuypers-Henderson
Marjanne Cuypers-Henderson is founder and CEO of BlueBlocks, a bio-tech company focused on developing new biomaterials by combining green chemistry and design.
She holds a Master degree from Delft University of Technology in Industrial Design Engineering. She was managing partner of The Creativity Company, supporting international brands in developing innovative products and services for emerging markets. For over 10 years she was a design lecturer at the Industrial Design Engineering department of The Hague University of Applied Sciences, specialised in bio-materials circular design.
SeaWood Materials was first applied in the award winning biomaterial house The Exploded View for the Dutch Design Week in 2021, was part of the Dutch Pavilion of the international horti-culture fair Floriade in 2022, winner of Blue Bio Value 2023 and finalist in the global Built by Nature Prize in 2024.
